Notes: The Cemetery, which covers 11.29ha of land, is operated on a daily basis by the Sexton, who also
provides information on where people are buried, interments, reserve plots and genealogy
enquiries. 2008 signifies the commencement of joint operations between Upper Hutt and Hutt City
Council at the Akatarawa Cemetery. the Cemetery was previously operated only by Upper Hutt city Council.
