Owahanga Station Urupa, Pongaroa, Tararua, Manawatu-Wanganui, New Zealand


Notes:
Owahanga is near the mouth of the Owahanga River, southeast of Pongaroa. The Urupa (Cemetery) is bounded by the river on the east and a small creek on the south sideand is oposite the Papauma Marae.
The Cemetery was first used in 1886 (1880) for the burial of Mary Power aged 10 (3) years eldest daughter of James Hamish and Louisa (Fanny) Power. All graves earlier than 1948 are unmarked. These are at the western end, with marked recent graves at the eastern end.
