Robert Campbell was a schoolmaster at the old Fetteresso School for many years.
an account of him is given in a local newspaper dated March 1924 by an old
pupil intitled 'Recollections & Reminiscences of 1863-71.He describes Robert
Campbell as a strict disiplinerian who used the cane with great gusto to his
hapless pupils, non the less he was looked upon with much respect by the same
pupils. The article indicates that Mr. Campbell also owned property in the
City of Glasgow. He is also said to own 19 properties in Aberdeen at the time
of his death. Some of these are now owned by the Aberdeen University.
The cause of his death was "carbuncle for 5 weeks.
