Hilda Mary Hawkes (nee Ives), born in Blenheim NZ, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Wednesday October 25, 2017, aged 89 years. Dearly beloved wife of Terry (dec), adored mother and mother-in-law to Kathryn and Tim, Suzanne and John, Ian and Mel and Jan. Cherished grandmother to Karina, Carla, Amy, Cathleen, Shannon, Ella, Talia, Ben and Adam and great-grandmother to Amaliah. Much loved sister to Shirley and Geraldine in New Zealand. She led a full and giving life as nurse, mother, passionate swimming coach and gardener and will be forever in our hearts.
Thank you to Dr Conley and all the dedicated staff at Queenborough Rise for their great care, support and kindness.
