Mary's parents are believed to be Thomas and Margaret (nee Martin) ROBINSON. She was christened 20th June 1830 in Kendal Westmoreland. She married a Mr McElligott but I can find no record of this or of a divorce or his death. She then apparently married John Grout Denby and their first child John Grout Denby jnr was born at Whitechapel London in 1856. Mary and John them came to New Zealand between 1857 1nd 1859. She returned briefly to Kendal in 1964 where son Charles was born. She returned to Auckland NZ in 1865 aboard the Armstrong.
Can anyone help with Information about Mary's family and first marriage to Mr McElligott.
