  	John Smith Harris, said he was a member of the Corporation of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and was employed by Messrs Laundy and Co., accountants, of England, for nearly 13 years. Tha firm employed an average of 30 olerks, of whom he was one of the seniors. In that capacity he had to do with the firm of Messrs Greatrex and Son and was their financial adviser and accountant as the representative of Messrs Laundy and po. Messrs Greatrex and Son consulted him after the establishment of the branches of their business m New Zealand, and asked him to go out and "put the mess in order," the branches being in an unsatisfactory condition.
